You’re probably a decent sales person…right? (...especially since you share your story and mission with so many people and groups)
BUT - your website isn’t. :(
Even if you’re good at creating awareness and the desire to get involved, once you push them to the “anti-sales department” (A.K.A. - your website) and they leave, that’s it…
They’re gone. (along with your chances of turning them into volunteer or donor).
That’s because WEBSITES AREN'T DESIGNED TO SELL.
It provides surface level information (like a brochure) without any guidance or buttons telling them where to go next.
If they don’t know where to go, they’ll leave your site, and you have NO way to follow up with them.
